We’ve adjusted our horse pasture mix after reading the data put together by the University of Minnesota’s palatability study. This was a three year study that tracked what horses preferred while grazing in a pasture. This mix will lead to more uniform grazing which will extend the life of the pasture. Our most popular endophyte free Cowgirl Tall Fescue is leading this mixture, ensuring drought hardiness and exceptional performance. Density will not be an issue when Cowgirl Tall Fescue is in the mix. Look for a rapid establishment, strong yields, and for it to hold up longer under today’s environmental conditions.
- 40% Cowgirl Tall Fescue
- 25% Melfrost Perennial Ryegrass
- 15% Climax Timothy
- 10% Filly Kentucky Bluegrass
- 10% Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass
