Our Beef Pasture Mix is a mixture of grasses and legumes designed to provide an elongated growing season that will enhance both the yields and crop quality. The high-quality protein associated with this mix lends to increased milk production and faster development rates while lessening the need for supplemental feed. Monitoring and controlling periods of grazing and managing site fertility will improve stand quality and longevity. The Beef Pasture Mix should be planted in areas that receive at least 20″ of precipitation annually while avoiding extreme high temperatures (regularly exceeding high 90s).

Suggested Management Plant in early Fall or Spring using a Brillion seeder or drilled at a depth of .25 in. A well prepared seed bed will benefit establishment. This can be broadcast and rolled firmly with a cultipacker. If you plan to broadcast it is suggested to increase your seeding rate by 1.5 times. Do not graze until firmly rooted. Manure or Fertilizer in the early fall will help winter hardiness.
